Amanda Villafaña

Multidisciplinary Fashion Professional

I’m a Richmond, Virginia–based fashion designer with a love for ready-to-wear that speaks — thoughtfully, cohesively, and always with intention. After earning my degree in fashion and spending time in L.A. chasing the dream (and realizing the dream lives back in Richmond), I’ve built my practice around trend-first, wearable pieces that feel both modern and meaningful.

My favorite part of the process? The puzzle. Whether I’m creating a mood board, developing graphics, or building out a full line, I love finding the connections — the hidden “easter eggs” that bring a collection together in subtle, satisfying ways. I'm especially drawn to transformative design: pieces that change, surprise, or evolve — like a dress that unzips into a two-piece set, or a cape that turns into a gown. I want my work to engage the viewer and empower the wearer.

With over four years of experience designing apparel from concept to production, I’m confident navigating trend research, technical drawing, manufacturing communication, and collection development from start to finish. I love refining ideas into designs that are not just creative, but commercially viable and ready for the market.

And when I’m not designing for clients? I’m probably making a last-minute look for an event (yes, always last minute), filming it for TikTok, and somehow pulling it off — just in time.
